HP has announced its new mobile workstation dubbed as HP EliteBook 8740w. HP EliteBook 8740w is powered by either Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processors with Turbo Boost Technology, ATI FirePro M7820, NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M, or Quadro FX 3800M graphics, up to 16GB of DDR3 1333MHz RAM and with up to 500GB HDD or up to 256GB SSD and runs Windows 7, XP or Vista operating system.

The HP EliteBook 8740w features a 17 inch LED backlit Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a spill-resistant keyboard and a 2 megapixel webcam. It can be equipped with a DVD burner or a Blu-ray drive. Lenovo launched IdeaPad S10-3t Multi-Touch Netbook in India

Lenovo has launched its new multi touch tablet netbook IdeaPad S10-3t in India. The IdeaPad S10-3t is powered by Intel Atom N450 Processor and 250 GB hard drive.

The IdeaPad S10-3t features a 10.1 inch LED display with 16:9 ratio, dual color pattern at the back and comes with NaturalTouch fingertip touch technology. It can be swirled by 180 degrees to form a tablet. The netbook offers DirectSharing that allows users to connect it with other laptops and transfer content without the need for internet. It also features instant-on OS, Active Protection System, mapping software, and and face recognition software.

Sony Unveils New Colorful Vaio E Series

Sony has announced the launch of a new colorful VAIO E Series. The 15.5-inch notebooks sport up to a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive or the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics chip and run Windows 7 Home Premium.

Other specifications include a DVD burner, three USB ports and an e-sata port, plus a built in web camera, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, HDMI and VGA out, Gigabit Ethernet and a memory card reader. It measures 370 x 248 x 31mm and weighs 2.7 kgs with 6 cell battery but has a battery life of 3.5 hours. It also has a a chiclet-style keyboard, edge-to-edge display glass and electrostatic touchpad.

The VAIO E series is available in Lava Black, Iridescent Blue, Coconut White, Hibiscus Pink and Caribbean Green colors. VAIO E Series will be priced at around $800 and will be available in March.

HP has launched HP Mini 210 in India. The Mini 210 Netbook features a 1.66GHz N450 Atom processor, GMA 3150 Graphics., 1GB of RAM, option of a 250GB HDD, 3G wireless connectivity and about nine hours battery life. It has a 10.1 inch LED Anti-glare Widescreen Display with resolution of 1024 x 600.

The Mini 210 boasts with chiclet style keyboard, Wi-Fi, webcam, microphone, 5-in-1 media card reader and Windows 7 Starter edition pre-installed and 6-cell battery. The Mini 210 measures less than an inch and weighs 1.2kg. HP Mini 210 will come in Solid Black, Pacific Blue, Sonoma Red, Matte Black with Pattern, and Matte Silver with Pattern colors.The Mini 210 is priced at Rs 16000.

New long life battery laptops by dell

Dell has released two new laptops from the nascent ULV class. The 13z and 15z are members of the inspiron series and cost $550 and $580 respectively. ULV stands for Ultra Low Voltage and refers to processors designed to work at lower voltages and use less power.

In the case of the new Dell laptops, that translates into respective battery lives of 11 hours (13z with a 13.3 inch monitor) and 10 hours (15z with 15.6 inch monitor).
ULV processors do not require heavy cooling, which translates into small fans and flatter devices. The 13z is no more than 26.4 mm thick, while its brother the 15z measures only 29.2 mm.

In both cases, customers can choose between the Intel Pentium Dual-Core and Intel Core-2 Duo processor. The displays provide resolutions of up to 1366 x 768 pixels, with hard drives of up to 320 gigabytes (GB) and three GB of RAM. Both laptops come with WLAN and a 1.3 megapixel webcam as standard features
