HTC HD Mini Unveiled in India, Costs Rs. 23,490

HTC India has introduced a new touchscreen smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system - HD Mini. This phone is like a kid brother of the previously announced Windows Mobile based phone HTC HD2. The new HTC HD Mini the same handset that was revealed at Mobile World Congress 2010 in February. This is yet another shrunken 'Mini' handset just like Sony Ericsson's X10 Mini and Nokia's N97 Mini.
New HD Mini has a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen HVGA display offering 320x480 pixel resolution. Running Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, HD Mini has HTC Sense user interface layered on the top of the mobile OS. HTC Sense UI brings the seamless integration with goodness for social networking services. Equipped with 600MHz processor, HD Mini has 512MB ROM and 384MB RAM. This smartphone is capable of holding up to 32GB microSD 2.0 memory card.

Note that HD Mini is a quad-band GSM phone that would also support 3G networks. For Internet browsing, this phone comes pre-loaded with Opera Mobile and also offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g for mobile Internet connectivity. Standing four inches tall, HD Mini also has Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS chip along with HTC Footprints app for location based services as well as applications.
Shutterbugs can make the best of 5 megapixel autofocus camera that offers widescreen photo capture. Music buffs can hook in their favorite pair of headphones in the 3.5mm audio jack. Unlocked HTC Tatoo launched in India


HTC has announced the launch of unlocked version of HTC Tattoo in India. The Tattoo is a touchscreen smartphone sporting the Android operating system.The HTC Tatoo features a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display with 240×320 resolution, a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor coupled with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM.



The other specification of the phone includes 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.5mm stereo headset jack and expandable microSD memory. The Tattoo also integrates HTC’s Sense UI and social networking oriented applications. Apparently, the phone does not support 3G. It integrates Google’s mobile services including: Google Maps, search, Google Mail, and Android market where users can download thousands of applications and games.The HTC Tattoo will be available at price tag of Rs.16,990.

Acer Launches Three New Smartphones in India

Acer has finally arrived in India with three new touchscreens virtually encompassing all price ranges.The new phones launched are the beTouch e101, beTouch e200 and the top-of-the-line neoTouch.

beTouch e101







The beTouch e101 might be the cheapest of the lot but the phone still does pack in a decent punch. Boasting of a 3.2 inch resistive touchscreen and powered by the latest Windows Mobile 6.5.  It boasts with 256MB of RAM and 521MB of internal ROM. A basic 2 megapixel camera without autofocus completes the imaging side of things.The only things to crib about are the lack of Wi-Fi and 3G. However, GPRS (EDGE) and bluetooth do find their way in so it s not all that bad. The beTouch e101 retails at Rs. 11,900.




beTouch e200
Next in line is the slightly higher end beTouch e200. Although it is pricier than the e101, this one actually sports a smaller screen! It has a 3-inch, 240*400, 65k screen and comes with a 3.15 megapixel camera. The e200 comes with both Wi-Fi and 3G both of which were absent in the e101. Apart from these, most other features are same as that of its cheaper cousin. The e200 retails at Rs. 17,900.

neoTouch
NeoTouch is one of the few devices powered by the zippy Snapdragon processor to have arrived in India. The phone runs Windows Mobile 6.5 and has Acer's own custom UI running atop it. The phone boasts of a huge 3.8 inch resistive touchscreen that supports a resolution of 480x800 pixels. The phone is a multimedia powerhouse as well and sports a 3.5mm jack as well. On the imaging front, the 5-megapixel camera should suffice for more than casual photography. The camera comes packed with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging and VGA video recording). The Acer neoTouch can be yours for Rs. 35,000.

Sony Ericsson Satio, Aino and Yari Unveiled in India

Sony Ericsson has introduced three new smartphones in India.The new phones are the Satio, Aino and Yari.



The Aino is equipped with an 8MP camera as well as Clear Stereo and Clear Bass sound quality. It provides render remote play access to videos, television shows and photos. The Media Go feature allows users to stream content like images, videos and podcasts from PCs onto the phone via Wi-Fi. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connectivity enables users to access content stored on a PS3 from any location in the world.

The Satio offers the ultimate multimedia experience. It boasts a 3.5 inch screen offering a 16:9 widescreen format and 12 megapixel camera with Smile Shutter, Xenon flash and Touch Focus. Its touch-sensitive UI significantly offers easy navigation between the phone’s application like media menu, music player and camera settings concurrently. It is also the first and only phone from the company to use Series 60 version 5 based on Symbian OS. The phone comes with 128MB of onboard memory and supports microSD cards of upto 32GB.

The Yari debuts Gesture gaming that enables users to make the moves in front of the screen and play games without even touching the phone. The Phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera and state-of-the-art music player, stereo speakers for easy listening. The one button press feature called Music call allows users to share music while conversing on the phone.
The expected prices of Aino, Satio and Yari are priced at Rs.28,950, Rs.35,950 and Rs.16,950 respectively.
